President Janet Cunningham, of Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has announced her retirement, effective at the end of this academic year. Dr. Cunningham’s leadership of Northwestern has driven the last two decades of the university’s growth. She has led with integrity and has been a tremendous asset to higher education across the state. Northwestern is a strong example of the impact and importance of rural, regional universities and is well-positioned for the future. The Regional University System of Oklahoma regents will initiate the process of searching for the 20th president of Northwestern beginning at the January 27-28 board meeting.
