Dr. Michael Peck of Enid was appointed to the Regional University System of Oklahoma Board of Regents to serve a term ending June 10, 2035.
Dr. Peck has provided eye care to Enid-area residents for more than 40 years. A native of Woodward, he earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma and his doctor of optometry degree from the University of Houston. He also completed an externship at Fort Carson Army Hospital in Colorado Springs, Colorado, before returning to Oklahoma to begin his career in Enid.
Alongside his professional work, he has been deeply involved in civic and community service. He has served several terms as both a deacon and elder at First Presbyterian Church, has served for 12 years as a commissioner for the Department of Human Services, and is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Oklahoma Association of Optometric Physicians.
He and his wife, Jan, have been married for 46 years and have three married children and six grandchildren.
