1.3 PURPOSE AND MISSION STATEMENT.

The purpose of the Board of Regents is to provide supervision, management, and control to the six universities it governs.  Specifically, the Board of Regents shall oversee:

• Operational efficiencies,

• Accountability including presidential leadership, financial management, academic and workforce outcomes, and enrollment,

• Amplified collective voice, and

• Approve and create policy.

The mission is to provide students with the opportunity to earn a college degree at a regional university through a high-quality, affordable education so that they can reach their highest potential and thrive in an increasingly complex global society.
