The online version of the Policy Manual of the Regional University System of Oklahoma is maintained on this website to enhance public access to information about the Board and the universities it governs. This is a service that is continually under development. The user should be aware that, while we try to keep the Policy Manual timely and accurate, there will be a delay between Board approval of amendments and revisions to policies and their posting on this website.

Policy changes go into effect when they are approved by the Board, unless otherwise stated. The official source of policy information is the Policy Manual maintained at the Regional University System of Oklahoma administrative offices located at 3555 NW 58th, Suite 320, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 405-942-8817. In the event of any conflict between this online version and the official version, the official version controls. Persons using the online version are encouraged to confirm the current status of specific policies.

RUSO Builds Oklahoma

RUSO institutions offer competitive tuition – 27% below the national average. As a result of responsible stewardship, our students pay 52% of their total education costs.

Responsible Stewards

RUSO institutions are responsible stewards of the funds appropriated to us.  In 2011, Oklahoma’s public institutions of higher education received 41% of their budget from state appropriations. Compare that to 1988, when state appropriations totaled 75.3%. RUSO institutions are educating more students with less tax support per student.  And taxpayer investment is 31.3% below the national average.  We’ve added more students and increased our number of graduates through responsible stewardship.
